The aim of the Zambia 2016 project was to build two three classroom blocks at Ng’andu Primary School in Mukuni Chiefdom of the Southern Province, Zambia. The school was opened in 1938 and is one of the oldest in the area. Many of the children attending the school are orphans as a result of the high incidence of HIV/Aids in the area. In August 2015 a JOA team of eleven volunteers helped to build classrooms and saw the need for additional new classrooms to replace the original ones which are falling down, so an additional project team went back in 2016 to complete the work.
